Better You&Me – Adults

We offer support, free of charge to Ukrainians in the Gothenburg area and online in the whole of Sweden. The Better You&Me projects is made possible by Mats Paulssons Stiftelse.

Better You&Me – Youth

Some of our activities in Better You&Me are also targeted towards youth and kids.

“Coming to Hug’s events helped me make my first friends in Sweden. I can laugh, I cry, and I always leave with a full heart.”

“Being part of HUG’s youth activities showed me how small actions – like helping at events – can make a big difference. It changed how I see community.”

“Before joining Hug’s therapy sessions, I felt completely lost. Now I finally have tools to manage my anxiety and feel more grounded in everyday life.”

“Hug helped me translate my skills to the Swedish job market. I got my first job interview thanks to their CV workshop.”

“After fleeing my hometown, I didn’t believe I could ever feel safe again. Hug’s therapy groups gave me tools to manage my panic attacks and nightmares.”

“I was able to apply for a doctoral program in Sweden. Today, have started working at Sahlgrenska. I never imagined this would be possible after leaving everything behind.”

“At camp, I made new friends and forgot about the war for a while. I liked painting and sleeping in a tent. It felt like a dream.”

“The Hug community events remind me of home. It’s not easy to start over, but having this community makes all the difference.”
