This spring, our important work within the Better You & Me project continues with strength and heart. Thanks to the generous support of Mats Paulsson Stiftelse, we’re able to invest in what truly matters – hope, resilience, and the future of young people who have gone through more than most.
Throughout April, Help Ukraine Gothenburg (Hug) organized a series of meaningful activities for Ukrainian youth living in Gothenburg. These weren’t just workshops. They were opportunities for the young participants to step out of their daily challenges and into spaces where they could dream, explore, and imagine new paths for their lives.
Together with inspiring professionals and role models, our youth got hands-on experiences in different fields:
Journalism with Anastasia Palchuk from Göteborgs-Posten
Public Speaking with Svitlana Rak
Technology & Innovation at Chalmers with Pavlo Krasov
Each session was more than just learning a skill. It was a doorway into possibility. Because for many of the teens we meet, the idea of a future feels far away. More than half describe feelings of uncertainty – about school, housing, work, and their right to stay in Sweden. Living in limbo takes a toll. That’s why this project matters so much.
We’ve seen what happens when they write their first article, deliver a speech, or step into a university lab. Something shifts. A spark lights up. A quiet voice says,
“Maybe I can.”
And that is the heart of this project. We don’t just want to teach – we want to believe in them until they believe in themselves.
At Hug, we know that investing in young people is one of the most powerful things we can do. Because when they begin to see their own potential, their whole future changes.

As Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine continues to escalate, both military personnel and civilians are suffering under the weight of constant bombardments, drone attacks, and missile strikes. The frontline situation is dire — and so is the pressure on Ukraine’s healthcare system. Urgent evacuation, emergency care, and access to medical equipment are critical for survival. But supply chains are under strain, and the demand for medical aid grows by the day.
At Help Ukraine Gothenburg (HUG), we are actively supporting Ukraine’s frontline regions by delivering vital medical equipment, consumables, and evacuation vehicles. Working in close proximity to the frontlines, we ensure that critical supplies reach the people and places that need them the most — fast and reliably.
This life-saving mission is made possible through strong and trusted partnerships. Together with Volvo Group: Volvo Trucks and Volvo Defense, we have built a resilient infrastructure capable of managing large-scale deliveries all the way to high-risk zones. These partnerships are not just logistical — they are a demonstration of international solidarity, technical excellence, and shared values.
We are honored to be the trusted channel for donations from public healthcare institutions in Sweden. Region Halland and Västra Götalandsregionen have chosen HUG as their partner in providing large-scale medical donations to Ukraine. Their trust reflects our proven capacity to operate reliably in one of the world’s most challenging humanitarian environments.
But the need is far from over. We are now calling on businesses, hospitals, and organizations in Sweden and across Europe to contribute to this mission. We are actively seeking:
Medical supplies and consumables
Hospital and emergency equipment
Evacuation vehicles
Logistics and technical support
We have the partnerships, logistics, and know-how to handle and distribute these donations where they are needed most — securely and efficiently.
If you or your organization is in a position to help, please contact us at: contact@hug.ngo.
Every box of bandages, every ventilator, every transport vehicle can be the difference between life and death.
Thanks to your incredible support, we have successfully fundraised for 530 tourniquets! These life-saving tools will soon be on their way to Ukraine’s frontlines, where they will help save lives in critical moments.
Each tourniquet can mean the difference between life and death for someone’s son, daughter, partner, or friend. And while this milestone is significant, the need remains urgent and ongoing. Tourniquets are used every day and must constantly be replaced – that’s why we continue our fundraising efforts.
Thank you for your trust, your generosity, and your belief in action that matters. Together, we are making a real impact.
Let’s keep going – every contribution counts. Donate today and help us deliver even more tourniquets where they’re needed most.
In the midst of war, it’s not only people who suffer. Thousands of animals—pets, strays, and abandoned companions—are also caught in the middle of the devastation. They are often the silent victims, left behind when families flee or trapped in regions where access to basic necessities is severely limited. But thanks to committed volunteers, generous donors, and strong partnerships, we are able to reach them with the help they so desperately need.
Recently, Help Ukraine Gothenburg (HUG), in cooperation with the Ukrainian animal welfare organization UAnimals, completed the delivery of 403 kilos of cat food to the Kharkiv region. This was made possible through the generous support of our Swedish partner, whose contribution provided much-needed supplies for over 200 cats in towns and villages such as Liubotyn, Sanzhary, Korotych, Merchyk, Pisochyn, Horichova Roshcha, Manchenk, and Karavan.
These are places where the war has left deep scars—on infrastructure, communities, and daily life. Many of the animals that remain are cared for by elderly residents who have chosen to stay behind, sometimes alone, to care not just for themselves but for their animals and others in the neighborhood. Without regular access to food, these animals would not survive. Every delivery is a lifeline—every bag of food a message that someone still sees and cares.
We are especially grateful to volunteer Viktoriia Dubovnyk, who ensured that more than 50 households received the support they needed. Her dedication on the ground, despite difficult and dangerous conditions, exemplifies the heart of humanitarian work. Without her and our partners at UAnimals, this initiative would not be possible.
This is More Than Just Aid – It’s Responsibility and Solidarity
This mission is part of our broader commitment: to not forget the vulnerable, no matter how small, and to support those who care for them under extraordinary circumstances. In war zones, animals bring emotional comfort, protection, and a sense of normalcy to their humans—especially to the elderly and children. When we support these animals, we are also supporting the people who refuse to abandon them.
That’s why we believe strongly in cooperation. Partnerships like this one—with UAnimals, and our network of local volunteers—show what’s possible when people and organizations unite around a common cause.

This past weekend, something truly special happened in Gothenburg. Over 100 Ukrainians and Swedes came together to celebrate Ukrainian Easter — and while the occasion was festive, its meaning went far beyond the colorful eggs and traditional songs.
It was a day filled with warmth, laughter, and deep connection. We painted pysanky — each egg a delicate work of art, carrying with it centuries of tradition and symbols of love, protection, and hope. Children and adults alike sat side by side, carefully decorating eggs, sharing stories, and bridging generations through culture and creativity.
Tables were filled with homemade food — the familiar tastes of home that brought comfort and joy. Ukrainian melodies filled the room, reminding many of places and people they had to leave behind. There were hugs, tears, and smiles. There was a sense of belonging.
This gathering was not just about celebrating a holiday — it was about reclaiming a sense of normalcy, honoring our heritage, and building something beautiful here in Sweden: a united, resilient, Swedish-Ukrainian community.
For many newly arrived Ukrainians, it was the first time they truly felt part of something in their new home. For Swedes, it was an opportunity to understand, to stand in solidarity, and to witness the richness of Ukrainian culture firsthand.
Together, we created a space where everyone felt welcome. Where stories were shared freely. Where traditions were honored, not only as memories of the past, but as bridges toward the future.
Events like this are more than symbolic — they are essential. They are how communities are built, how healing begins, and how hope grows stronger, even in uncertain times.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make this day unforgettable. Your presence, your openness, and your hearts made all the difference.
A heartfelt thank you to Svenska kyrkan Carl Johans Pastorat for your continuous support. You’ve been with us not only in logistics but in spirit, compassion, and kindness — and we Hug you! 💛💙
Together, we showed once again: Culture does not separate us — it binds us.
And in that binding, we find strength, joy, and the future we are building — together.
Over 200 people participated in our event on March 2 in Stockholm, where we screened the film Healing Beyond Fear – a powerful and moving story about courage, reconciliation, and facing the fear within us. The film is created by Carl Eneroth, whose work not only documents but also carries – through presence, empathy, and a desire to contribute to healing, both individually and collectively.
The evening was organized in close collaboration with Storkyrkan in Stockholm, which over the years has been a pillar of support for HUG – not only through donations and collections, but also through its spiritual presence, its open doors, and its enduring compassion. When it’s darkest out there, we’ve always had something to lean on. That means more than words can express.
The next screening will take place in Gothenburg on May 7 at Hagabion – tickets will be released soon. Stay tuned! It will be a day for Ukraine, for hope – and for healing conversations.

With the preview and premiere of Healing Beyond Fear, we have raised over 20,000 SEK for HUG (Ukraine). A big and heartfelt thank you.
Earlier this month, we proudly announced that four vehicles donated by Granitor had reached the Ukrainian border. Today, we are happy to share the next chapter in this story: the cars have been received by Ukrainian soldiers and are now on their way to the frontline.
This is more than just a logistical update — it's a powerful moment of transition, where generosity meets purpose. Thanks to our partnership with Granitor and the dedication of everyone involved in preparing these vehicles, we can now say with confidence: that Granitor’s cars are officially in service, helping defend Ukraine.
Better than we even hoped for
When the soldiers received the cars, their reaction spoke volumes.
"They’re better than we even hoped for – reliable, strong, and ready for action," one of them told us.
These aren’t just ordinary vehicles. They’ve been carefully selected, upgraded, and transformed into field-ready assets — designed to save lives and strengthen the response of Ukraine’s defenders on the most dangerous frontlines of Europe.
Transforming Vehicles Into Lifesaving Units
Thanks to careful planning and hands-on work, we were able to upgrade these cars far beyond their original condition. Each one has been adapted specifically for frontline needs — built not only to survive harsh terrain, but to serve as mobile units for evacuation, communication, and emergency response.
Here's what went into preparing them:
Camouflage repainting – to keep vehicles hidden and protected in combat zones
Military communication systems – including radios and emergency signals for secure and fast coordination
Off-road tires – for better traction and reliability in the muddy, cratered roads of Eastern Ukraine
Critical medical equipment, including:
– Trauma kits and tourniquets for immediate lifesaving care
– Stretchers and immobilization gear for safe transport of the wounded
Power sockets – allowing the use of portable medical or communication devices
Front and rear cameras – enhancing visibility in low-light or high-risk conditions
Each vehicle is now ready not just to drive, but to serve.
One Convoy, Many Stories
Among the vehicles delivered, you’ll also notice an ambulance included in some of the images. This particular ambulance wasn’t part of the Granitor donation, but was repaired and prepared in the same workshop and timeline — a testament to how much can be achieved when resources and efforts align.
Whether it’s transporting an injured civilian to safety or allowing a unit to stay connected deep in a blackout zone, every vehicle plays a role. Every seat, every camera, every stretch of tread — it’s all part of something bigger.
Following the Journey Ahead
We’ve asked the soldiers to share updates and stories from the field once the vehicles are in use. These follow-ups are important — not just for accountability, but to show the human side of what this partnership has achieved.
It’s easy to talk about "aid" in abstract terms. But behind every donation, there are lives touched, futures protected, and missions made possible.
A Shared Mission, A Shared Responsibility
This project is yet another example of what’s possible when compassion meets action. Through Granitor’s support, we’ve not only sent vehicles — we’ve sent a message: that Sweden stands with Ukraine, that Europe’s freedom is a shared cause, and that we do not look away.
We at Help Ukraine Gothenburg (HUG) are incredibly grateful for this collaboration. It shows that businesses can be powerful agents of change when guided by values and driven by purpose.
Together, we continue our mission: to save lives, support resilience, and help Ukraine stand strong.
Supporting the Future: Summer Camps for Children Affected by War
At HUG, we believe every child deserves a chance to heal, grow, and live a life free of fear. For the past few years, we have been providing summer camps for children in Ukraine who have been severely affected by the trauma of war. These children have experienced unimaginable losses, but with your support, we’ve been able to offer them a safe space for healing and hope.
This year, we are continuing this vital initiative, ensuring that these children have the opportunity to experience the joy and peace they deserve, year after year. For four consecutive summers, we aim to give children a chance to live their lives outside of the constant fear and trauma of conflict.
Through activities like arts and crafts, sports, and group therapy, the children can express themselves, build confidence, and reconnect with their peers. They have the chance to simply be children again, away from the violence and the scars that war has left on their young minds.
The need is greater than ever, and we need your help to make it happen.
You can provide a child with a life-changing support at our summer camp. Together, we can give these children the opportunity to rebuild their futures, one summer at a time.
Join us in giving children a chance to live again.
In March, Help Ukraine Gothenburg (HUG) successfully dispatched six fully loaded trucks carrying vital humanitarian aid to Ukraine. These deliveries contained essential supplies such as food, hygiene products, technical equipment, tools, and modular housing units. The aid is destined for frontline and heavily affected areas, where the needs are immense and urgent.
These shipments would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our corporate partners. Companies such as Essity, Santa Maria, PEAB, Unilever, and Nestlé have once again demonstrated what corporate responsibility looks like in action. Their generous contributions, whether in the form of products, financial resources, or logistical support, have directly impacted countless lives in Ukraine.
Making a Tangible Difference
Together, these partners have provided a wide range of supplies, including hygiene products, food, construction materials, and evacuation support. These items are not just goods on a list—they are lifelines for people enduring some of the harshest conditions imaginable. Each shipment delivers not only material support but also a message of solidarity and hope to those facing the dire consequences of war.
A special acknowledgment goes to Göran Lönn, CEO of Lönns Truckar in Gothenburg, who personally oversaw and coordinated the loading of these critical shipments.
Partnerships That Save Lives
The ongoing war continues to create immense humanitarian challenges, with millions of people in urgent need of assistance. By uniting businesses, organizations, and individuals in a shared mission, we amplify our ability to respond effectively. These deliveries are a testament to the power of partnership between the private sector and civil society.
Every truck loaded and sent to Ukraine is a step toward alleviating suffering and ensuring that those in need receive the support they deserve. We are deeply grateful for the trust and commitment of our partners. It is through such collective efforts that we can make a real difference—one truck, one delivery, one life at a time.
At HUG, we remain committed to continuing this mission. Together, we stand for resilience, for humanity, and for Ukraine.
In the face of war and humanitarian crisis, it is decisive action and strong partnerships that pave the way for hope. The collaboration between Hug and SahlgrenskaInternational has become one such beacon — not just a partnership between institutions, but a powerful example of people helping people beyond organizational boundaries.
Sahlgrenska was with us from the very beginning — before any processes were in place — and to this day, they remain a steady and reliable partner. Their support has evolved beyond material donations; today, it extends to integrating Ukrainian medical professionals into Sweden’s healthcare system and fostering international knowledge exchange.
Thanks to initiatives like that of Peter Thyberg from Sahlgrenska’s Medical Physics andTechnology division, this collaboration continues to thrive. Peter's personal engagement shows how individual action within large systems can spark lasting impact, further underlining how critical this support remains today.
Delivering Essential Medical Support
Over the years of our collaboration, Hug, together with Sahlgrenska International and Sisjönsdepå, has facilitated the collection, preparation, and dispatch of a staggering volume of life-saving medical equipment. Through continuous donations — many driven by Peter Thyberg—we have received thousands of critical medical items that now serve on the frontlines of care.
Notable donations include dozens of portable defibrillators, infusion pumps, high-end ultrasound machines, dialysis machines, monitoring systems, surgical lamps, bipolar diathermy devices, and gastroscopes. Schiller AT-10 EKGs and Olympus ESG-100electrosurgical systems have also been delivered. Each item adds strength to an overwhelmed healthcare system, enabling frontline professionals to continue their work under extreme conditions.
Sustainable Solutions: Packing Hope, Saving Lives
The scale of aid delivered is vast. Hug has packed and shipped hundreds of pallets of vitals upplies — each one meticulously sorted to ensure readiness for rapid deployment.
But this is more than logistics. This effort also supports sustainability, as we prolong the value of medical equipment originally acquired for Sweden’s healthcare system—giving it a renewed purpose through life-saving treatments in Ukraine.By reusing reliable, high-quality equipment, we not only save lives but minimize waste and make the most of existing resources.
These life-saving donations have reached some of the most critical and hard-hit areas in Ukraine.Aid has been delivered to 21 hospitals in the Kharkiv region, 3 hospitals in the Luhansk region, as well as to central hospitals in Dnipro and Sumy, and children’s hospitals in the Odesa region. In addition, support has reached key institutions such as Ohmadyt Children's Hospital, the Unbroken Center, andKyiv’s Military Hospital.
Most crucially, equipment has made its way to stabilization points at Ground Zero, where frontline responders work under the harshest, most urgent conditions.Ambulances operating in active combat zones have also been equipped with this vital support, enabling life-saving emergency evacuations in the most challenging environments.
Building Bridges: Medical Exchange and Lifesaving Care
Beyond emergency aid, Sahlgrenska International is helping lay the foundation for long-term resilience. Through the CareConnectWithUkraine initiative, over twenty Ukrainian healthcare professionals have been employed at Sahlgrenska — receiving language training, orientation in the Swedish healthcare system, and support to step into clinical roles with purpose and dignity.
This commitment to collaboration extends in both directions. Several Swedish ST physicians fromSahlgrenska are currently working on the ground in Ukraine, contributing their expertise through humanitarian missions in some of the most demanding medical environments.Their presence reflects a deep professional and personal engagement — bringingSwedish medical knowledge directly to those in urgent need.
Knowledge exchange has also taken place in Sweden. In July 2023, Sahlgrenska welcomed a delegation of 42 Ukrainian doctors and nurses from over ten hospitals and universities, aspart of a study visit organized by the Association for the French-UkrainianSynergy in the Healthcare Field (ASFUDS). Help Ukraine Gothenburg provided interpretation support, highlighting the strength of local cooperation.
Meanwhile, Sahlgrenska University Hospital continues to care for those most affected by the war. Both injured soldiers and civilians — including children — have received advanced medical care and complex reconstructive surgeries, including limbrestoration. These efforts demonstrate a strong and ongoing commitment to healing across borders.
Firsthand Impact: Stories from the Frontlines
Every shipment tells a story of resilience. Every defibrillator, every oxygen mask, every surgical kit delivered is part of a chain of survival.
This is factual, concrete help — not symbolic gestures. Together, our collective contributions have enabled doctors and nurses on the frontlines to keep going. The feedback we receive from medical teams and patients is filled with gratitude, but also with a sense of partnership — they know they're not alone.
Everyone involved — from donors to logistics teams — can feel proud. This is what real impact looks like when people unite.
Corporate Responsibility in Action
SahlgrenskaInternational stands as a model for how institutions can drive transformative humanitarian outcomes. Their commitment, embodied in consistent action, has not only empowered Hug’s mission—it has proven what true corporate social responsibility can achieve.
They remind us that when organizations act with purpose, and individuals within them go the extra mile, the results are measured in lives saved — and futures restored.
How Your Organization Can Make a Difference
The needs inUkraine are still immense — and ongoing. We call on companies and organizations to join us in delivering hope. Whether it’s donating medical equipment, offering warehouse space, or helping with logistics — every contribution matters.
If your organization is ready to step forward, please contact us at contact@hug.ngo.
Together, we can continue making a difference where it matters most.
PEAB has stood with Ukraine and Help Ukraine Gothenburg (HUG), providing vital support through donations of tools, mobile housing units, construction containers, and evacuation vehicles. This commitment has helped us deliver aid where it is needed most, supporting both civilians and critical infrastructure.
Now, another crucial piece of equipment has arrived in Ukraine — a bulldozer from PEAB, now in service with the military in the Kharkiv region. This powerful machine is playing an essential role in clearing rubble, reinforcing defensive positions, and providing protection for both civilians and soldiers from ongoing artillery fire.
We extend our deepest gratitude to PEAB for their ongoing support and for recognizing the urgent need for practical assistance. Their contribution is a prime example of corporate social responsibility in action. By donating essential equipment, they are directly strengthening Ukraine’s resilience and helping to protect communities on the frontline.
To other companies and organizations:
Do you have vehicles, tools, or machinery that could make a difference? The time to act is now.
At HUG, we have the capacity to receive and manage large-scale deliveries, thanks to our logistics partners such as Volvo Defence and Volvo Trucks. We handle the entire process—from your depot in Sweden to the frontline in Ukraine—ensuring that donated equipment reaches the people who need it most.
Every machine, every tool, and every vehicle can help rebuild, defend, and save lives. If you or your company can contribute, let’s put these resources to use where they matter most.
At Help Ukraine Gothenburg (HUG), we believe in the power of strong partnerships to create meaningful change. Our collaboration with Volvo Group has been important in providing critical support to both Ukrainians in Sweden and those affected by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Volvo Group was one of our first partners. Through humanitarian aid deliveries, career development programs, kids and youth initiatives and many more, we have worked together to drive impact where it is needed most.
Humanitarian Aid: Delivering Essential Support to Ukraine
One of the most significant aspects of our cooperation has been the delivery of trucks and life-saving equipment to Ukraine. Thanks to Volvo Group’s generous contributions, we have been able to transport humanitarian aid, including medical supplies, food, and essential materials, to support communities affected by war. With each truck sent, we ensure that those in need receive the assistance necessary to rebuild and survive.
Career Development & Internships: Empowering Ukrainians in Sweden
Beyond direct aid, our partnership extends to career development initiatives for Ukrainians integrating into Swedish society. Finding meaningful employment is one of the most important steps toward building a new life in Sweden, and through our cooperation with Volvo Group, we provide opportunities for professional growth, skill development, and networking.
Together, we have organized:
Internship programs that allow Ukrainians to gain hands-on work experience within Volvo Group, helping them understand Swedish work culture, build professional networks, and increase their chances of long-term employment.
Tuve factory visit where Ukrainian professionals and job seekers can see Volvo Group's production facilities, learn about different roles, and explore potential career paths.
These initiatives not only provide valuable work experience but also help Ukrainians develop confidence in the Swedish labor market. Some of our participants have successfully transitioned into full-time roles after completing internships, demonstrating the effectiveness of these programs in helping Ukrainians restart their careers in Sweden.
Youth & Education: Inspiring the Next Generation
With Volvo Group’s support, we have created unique learning opportunities for children and youth. By introducing them to the world of engineering, technology, and career development, we help Ukrainian youth in Sweden gain inspiration and explore future career possibilities.
Our initiatives include:
World of Volvo visits, where young Ukrainians discover the innovations behind Volvo’s transportation solutions, learn about sustainability in the automotive industry, and get hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology.
A Partnership That Creates Change
Our cooperation with Volvo Group exemplifies how businesses and humanitarian organizations can work together to create lasting impact. From sending humanitarian aid and rescue vehicles to Ukraine to supporting Ukrainian job seekers and youth in Sweden, we continue to build a stronger, more resilient future together.
We are deeply grateful to Volvo Group for their ongoing support and shared commitment to making a difference. Together, we drive change—both on the ground in Ukraine and in the lives of Ukrainians building new futures in Sweden.
Humanitarian support to Ukraine
Since the war in Ukraine broke out on February 24 three years ago, Volvo Group has provided humanitarian support and contributions through various aid organizations to help those affected.
The Volvo Group's values and ways of working are a central part of our identity and permeate everything we do, that includes our engagements in society. These principles are deeply rooted in our long and proud history. When the situation for people and colleagues in Ukraine quickly worsened, there was a lot of engagement across the Group to help.
The AB Volvo Board decided quickly in 2022 to give mandate for activities and donations for humanitarian support to Ukraine.
"We have seen remarkable devotion and engagement from colleagues across the Group during this time of immense human suffering in Ukraine. By maintaining strong relationships with our partners, we can ensure that efforts are directed where they are needed most. Through our partners we are able to provide aid to support refugees, internally displaced persons, and communities in these vulnerable situations,” says Johan Reiman, Director Corporate Responsibility at Volvo Group Headquarters.
Internship initiative
Volvo Group has also been welcoming professionals who have fled from Ukraine to a paid internship at its operations in Gothenburg. Since the start in August 2024, 10 persons has been working at Volvo Group Corporate Responsibility, Volvo Group People & Culture, Volvo Trucks Defense, Volvo Penta and Camp X.
One of the interns is Yuliia Popova that started her internship at Volvo Defense in the end of August 2024, working with marketing activities, social media and exhibitions.
From the first weeks, I felt like part of the team, and I appreciate everyone’s support during my journey here. I feel that I can contribute with my knowledge and creativity while also learning a lot of new things every day. I am grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow at Volvo Group, which has had a great impact on my personal development, and I hope to continue my career journey here.
Tetiana Lukashevych, also one of the interns, did her internship at the Volvo Group Corporate Responsibility department.
Starting over in a new country and finding career opportunities wasn’t easy but thanks to this initiative by Help Ukraine Gothenburg (HUG) and Volvo Group, I was given the chance to prove myself professionally and be part of something meaningful. I’m grateful for the skills learned, the people I met and to see firsthand how a big company like Volvo can affect our future positively. Through this rewarding experience I gained a more positive outlook on both my career and the future in general.
Our partnership with Volvo Group is a powerful example of how businesses and humanitarian organizations can work together to make a real difference. From delivering humanitarian aid to Ukraine, to supporting Ukrainian refugees in Sweden through internships, career development, and youth programs — this collaboration has had a tangible, lasting impact. Together, we’re not only providing critical support today, but also building a stronger, more resilient future for those affected by war.
A life can depend on a tourniquet – help us save lives!
On Ukraine’s frontlines, tourniquets are a vital supply that saves lives every day. When a soldier is injured and suffers from severe bleeding, time is critical. A tourniquet is a simple yet life-saving tool that can quickly stop the bleeding, giving the wounded a chance to survive until they receive medical care.
Something so small can mean the difference between life and death. But the need is enormous—tourniquets are used daily and must constantly be replaced. The cost of one tourniquet is around 400 SEK, a small price when it can save a life.
Join us in saving lives! Your donation helps us purchase and deliver more tourniquets directly to those who need them most.

Thanks to the generosity of Carl Johans Pastorat – Svenska Kyrkan, another vital ambulance is now in operation in the Kharkiv and Sumy regions. This vehicle is already making a life-changing impact, evacuating civilians from frontline areas where daily bombardments leave people without safety, security, or access to essential medical care.
What makes this contribution even more remarkable is that it is not the first. Carl Johans Pastorat has repeatedly stepped up to support Ukraine, previously donating life-saving vehicles that have brought emergency care to those who need it most. Their commitment goes far beyond words — it is a tangible force of compassion and action.
At a time when medical evacuation resources are stretched thin, this ambulance represents hope. It ensures that those wounded by war, including children, the elderly, and families trapped in conflict zones, have a chance to survive. In many cases, access to an ambulance determines whether someone lives or dies.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Carl Johans Pastorat for their unwavering support — not just through financial aid, but through their continued presence, perseverance, and profound humanity. Their solidarity with Ukraine is a testament to the power of community and faith in action.
Every vehicle, every piece of medical equipment, every act of support matters. If you or your organization can help, now is the time. Together, we can turn generosity into life-saving impact.
