EmpowerHUB invites Ukrainians with temporary protection in Sweden to an online information session about how the Swedish pension system works.

The session will be led by a representative of the Swedish Pensions Agency (Pensionsmyndigheten).

During the session, we will discuss how pension rights are earned in Sweden, how employment and declared income affect future pension, the difference between public pension (allmän pension), occupational pension (tjänstepension) and private pension savings, and where you can check information about the pension you have already earned.

Special attention will be given to questions that are particularly relevant for Ukrainians with temporary protection: what happens to pension earned in Sweden if a person later leaves the country; whether Swedish pension can be paid to a person living abroad; whether the country of residence affects different parts of the pension; and what applies to people who have worked in several countries.

The session will be held in simple Swedish. Ukrainian interpretation will be provided if needed.

At the end of the session, participants will have an opportunity to ask general questions to the representative of the Swedish Pensions Agency.
