Moving to a new country is often accompanied by a feeling of loneliness, even when there are people around, or when you have a job or are studying. This is a common and understandable experience that is rarely spoken about openly.
At the meeting, we will discuss why loneliness often arises in emigration; what psychological mechanisms underlie this experience; and how loneliness affects one’s emotional state and the adaptation process.
You will receive psychological education and practical guidance to help you: better understand your inner state; and support yourself in a new social environment.
Format: psychological education
No diagnoses and no need to share personal details
You can just listen; camera on if you wish
Date and time: 23 February at 7.00 pm
The EmpowerHUB project is implemented by HUG and its partners. It is co-funded by the European Union through the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF).
