EmpowerHUB provides free short legal consultations for Ukrainians under temporary protection in Sweden (funded by AMIF/EU, 2025–2027). These sessions are designed to offer clear, accessible legal guidance on everyday issues that arise while living, working, or integrating in Sweden.

The consultations help participants understand relevant Swedish laws, review documents they have received, and identify realistic next steps when dealing with authorities, employers, landlords, or service providers.

Duration: 30 minutes
Format: Online, in Ukrainian
Limit: Up to 2 consultations per month

Topics Covered

Consultations address a wide range of practical legal questions, including:

  • Migration law: letters and decisions from Migrationsverket, temporary protection extensions, permit types, refusals, children’s status, travel rules.
  • Social benefits: barnbidrag, bostadsbidrag, VAB, CSN, försörjningsstöd, repayment decisions, communication with social services.
  • Family law: divorce, custody, alimony,  interaction with social authorities.
  • Labour law: employment contracts, termination, unpaid wages, probation period rules, a-kassa.
  • Housing: second-hand rentals, deposits, conflicts with landlords or BRF, rent increases, basic questions about buying a home.
  • Basic taxation: income from Ukraine, remote work, tax declarations, double taxation basics.
  • Consumer rights: online purchases, subscriptions, complaints, guarantees.
  • Integration: driving licences, exchange rules, study pathways, and financial support for education such as CSN.

  • Guarantees of specific legal outcomes

Consultations are informational and intended to support decision-making, not replace professional legal representation where required.

  • Prepare relevant documents in PDF/photo/scan format
  • Have your UT-card or Migrationsverket decision with ID ready to show
